Not everyone would like to have a period inserted in the text after a double space is added, but this is the default behavior of macOS on your Mac.
If you are a programmer, especially a Python programmer, you might add two spaces or more many times, and having a dot inserted can be irritating.
To turn off this setting, follow the below steps,
- Click on the Apple logo on your Mac Menu bar and select System Settings.
- Select Keyboard from the sidebar.
- Now click on Edit next to Spelling Keyboard or edit button next to b.
- Disable - "Add period with double-space".
- Click done.
I hope you found this helpful. If yes, please add a comment.
