If you are logged into office.com on Safari browser on a Mac and are trying to create a new Microsoft 365 Online Excel Sheet and you get an error "Unable to open your workbook" as below,

Reason for this error:
If you look closely at the address bar on the Safari browser, you will see that there is a message "Pop-up Window Blocked". So the reason for this error is that Office.com is trying to open the Spreadsheet on a new tab but it is blocked.
Fix/Solution:
The fix is quite simple, just click on the icon of the window as pointed out in the screenshot on the address bar and the Excel Sheet will open on a new tab..
