If you get an error when you try to open the built-in Notepad application on a Windows 10/11 PC, then one reason could be that the app has been uninstalled or deleted.
Error When Opening Notepad:
You can see in the above screenshot when I click on the Windows Notepad Shortcut on my desktop I get an error.
You can fix this issue by reinstalling the Windows Notepad app from the Microsoft Store.
