Mac: Turn off Auto Capitalization of Words

This tutorial is demonstrated on M1 Macbook Air running on macOS Ventrua 13.2.1

I usually do not prefer the words I type to be auto-capitalized, but this is the default behavior of macOS. That word is auto-capitalized when you add a full stop or a noun.

Turning off this feature as follows:

  1. Click on the Apple logo on your Mac.
  2. Select System Settings (Preferences if on macOS 12 or below)
  3. Now from the sidebar select Keyboard.
  4. Now click on Edit, next to Input Souce under Text Input.
Input Source under Keyboard on Mac
  5. Now turn off "Capitalize words automatically".

  6. Click done!
