You must have noticed that when you are playing any song or video in Safari or any other audio/video app, you see a "Now Playing" icon on the Apple Menu bar.

How to remove "Now Playing" icon

  1. Click on the Apple Logo in Menu bar,
  2. Go to System Preferences...,
  3. Now go to Dock & Menu bar,
  4. Scroll down and select: "Now Playing - Menu Bar & Control Center"
  5. Un-check: Show in Menu bar.
  6. This should remove the play icon!
