If you have downloaded a plugin from GitHub or the web for Notepad++ and placed it in the Plugins folder under Program Files and when you open the application again and you see an error - "Cannot load 32-bit or 64-bit plugin." then you can try one of the below options to fix this issue.
- Make sure that plugin is compatible with your Notepad++ version architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), you can find out by going to see where is Notepad++ installed under C:\
Program Files Your Notepad++ is based on 64-bit architecture. Program Files (Arm) Notepad++ does not support Arm as of now. Program Files (x86) Your Notepad++ is based on 32-bit architecture.
- You can also check this by opening Notepad++ and on Menu and ? > About Notepad++ (or press F1 key)

- If there is a mismatch you can,
- Download the correct version of the Plugin.
- If you do not get the version you want, you can install a 64/32-bit version of Notepad++ and it should work.
