How to Update macOS Ventura to Sonoma 14.0

If you are on macOS Ventura 13.x and want to update to the latest macOS Ventura 14.x, then follow the below steps.

1. Click on the Apple logo  on the macOS menu bar.
2. Now click on System Settings...

   

3. Now select General -> Software Updates
4. Here you should macOS Sonoma 14 under see "Updates Available"

   

5. Click on Update Now button.
6. You will have to accept terms and enter your Mac password to move ahead with the download.

   

   You should see "Software Updates Available". If not then it might be the macOS Sonoma is not supported by your Mac/Macbook.

   The download will take some time - depending upon your internet speed. You will see "about x seconds/minutes/hours/days remaining". For me the setup size is 2.72 GB

7. Once the download is complete it would take a while to prepare the updates.

   

   Preparing macOS Sonoma 14.0... "About 30 minutes remaining".
