Are you getting above error message while installing or updating Android Studio on your Windows Operating system (XP. 7, 8, 10) then to resolve it,
Resolution :- Close Android Studio
- Go to the tools folder and delete it.
- Restart Android Studio again and you will not see any error (you will be asked for update again)
- Update the Tools and things should be fine.
You get this message while you were trying to update Android Studio because the tools folder was locked.
Update : 07/01/2015This issue has been resolved in 1.0.2 update
If you get an error while running Android Studio try running the exe as Administrator i.e. right-click and Run as Administrator
