The Windows Update error code 80070005 is a permision problem - ACCESS DENIED error.
To fix this issue, try the below steps, note not all may work for you,
- The first thing to try is to restart your PC and try the update again!
- If restarting did not fix the issue, try to restart the Windows Update service,
1. Press Windows + R and type services.msc and click enter, 2. Look for Windows Update, right-click and select Properties, 3. Make sure the Startup type is selected as "Automatic", 4. Click on Start button, 5. Click Apply and OK 6. Now restart your Computer.
