At times if you install Apps like Open Office or Canva, they might open the Excel files such as .xlsx, .xls or .csv.
If you want to make Microsoft Excel the default app to open such files, you can follow the below easy steps.
- Step 1: Right Click (or Contol-Click) on a file with an Excel extension and select "Get Info"
- Step 2: Now under the "Open With" dropdown select Other...
- Step 3: Now select "Microsoft Excel" form the Applications folder.
- Step 4: Close the Get Info window.
That's about it! Now when you open any file with this extension it will open with Excel Application on your Mac.
