Meta-AMD Mega Deal - Up to $100 Billion
AMD and Meta today announced a 6-gigawatt agreement to power Meta's next generation of AI infrastructure across multiple generations of AMD Instinct GPUs. The deal could potentially be worth more than $100 billion, and AMD has issued Meta a performance-based warrant to acquire up to 10% of the chip company. This comes just days after Meta committed to using millions of Nvidia's processors - making clear Meta is running a deliberate multi-vendor chip strategy, not choosing between suppliers. AMD stock jumped 8–9% on the news.
