Are you getting above error message while installing or updating Android Studio on your Windows Operating system (XP. 7, 8, 10) then to resolve it,

Resolution :
  1. Close Android Studio
  2. Go to the tools folder and delete it.
  3. Restart Android Studio again and you will not see any error (you will be asked for update again)
  4. Update the Tools and things should be fine.

You get this message while you were trying to update Android Studio because the tools folder was locked.

This issue has been resolved in 1.0.2 update

If you get an error while running Android Studio try running the exe as Administrator i.e. right-click and Run as Administrator
