TextEdit Find and Replace Example


TextEdit is the default text editor for the Mac. If you want to perform Find and Replace operation on your file, follow the below steps:

  1. Open your file in TextEdit,
  2. Now go to Menu: Edit -> Find -> Find and Replace... (can also use shortcut Command ⌘ + Shift ⌥ + F)
  3. This should show the Find and Replace option, with replace and all options.
  4. Simply search for the word you want to find and the word you want to replace.
  5. If you would to replace all the occurrences select all.

You can also make use of advanced find options by clicking on the down-down search icon and selecting options like, insert pattern, starts with or full word e.t.c.
