It can be a bit annoying to hear the beep or bell sound on the Mac Terminal if you are listening to some music or have your earphones plugged into your ears.
To turn off the bell sound on the Terminal, go to Terminal Menu -> Preferences ... Profiles... -> Advanced and uncheck Audible bell

Step-by-Step Turn Off Terminal Sound
- Click on the Terminal on Menu bar,
- Now click on Preferences... (Settings... if on macOS 13 Ventura),
- Now select the Profiles tab,
- Under Profiles tab, select Advanced tab,
- Under Bell, untick the Audible bell option.
Note the options to reach Profiles may vary depending on the macOS you are on.
