If you use Microsoft 365 App on your Mac device to work with the suite of Office Word App, you can toggle between dark and light mode using the below steps,
Example with Microsoft Word
- Open the Word file in Windows 365 App,
- Go to Menu: View -> Click on button Dark Mode

Dark Mode On
Dark Mode Off
Dark Mode On
For ,now it seems there is no Dark Mode for Excel and Powerpoint Applications when files are opened in web browser.
