How to Change Eclipse Default Web Browser


By default, if you work on Web-based Application using Eclipse IDE the web pages are opened in the Eclipse default system web browser as a tab window.

If you wish to use other browsers then follow the below steps:
  1. Go to Eclipse -> Preferences on Mac OS X (Windows -> Preferences if on Windows OS)
  2. Go to General -> Web Browser
  3. Here you would see the Default system web Browser being selected. Click on New and Select your browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome or IE) from Applications
  4. Click OK
