While installing SharePoint Server 2016 and running the Wizard, you will come across a new service "SPInsights" and might also see a related error like below -
The service instance "Microsoft SharePoint Insights" could not be provisioned because of the following error: Authentication information for SPInsights service has not been set yet.
Well, there is not much information provided by Microsoft on this yet. SharePoint 2016 is currently in IT Preview, you can ignore this service and error for now.
Currently the SPInsights feature is not enabled in IT Preview and should be added in newer releases.
It seems the SharePoint Insights is not fully developed yet and we might see it's features and capabilities in near future. Who knows the next big surprise from SharePoint!
