By default if you work on Web based Application using Eclipse IDE the web pages are opened in Eclipse default system web browser as a tab window.

If you wish to use other browsers then follow the below steps :

  1. Go to Eclipse -> Preferences on Mac OS X ( Windows -> Preferences if on Windows OS)
  2. Go to General -> Web Browser
  3. Here you would see Default system web Browser being selected. Click on New and Select your browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome or IE) from Applications
  4. Click OK
